Automotive Electrical and Electronics Workshop

The Automotive electrical and electronics workshop was established in 1988, it belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The workshop designed to keep pace with the great development of modern Automotive electrical and electronic systems. The workshop provides the student with the necessary technical skills that enable them to enter the working field in Automotive engineering.

Engineering Workshop

This workshop aims to train students to use manual engineering skills for various metal fabrication and maintenance operations such as sawing, filing, grinding, drilling, riveting, metal cutting, bending and other skills. And these skills are necessary for all types of metal fabrication and shaping. It is necessary for everyone who works in the industry to acquire these skills. The student is trained in secondary skills related to civil engineering and architecture, such as mixing colors, curving on glass and wood, and other processes.

Control Laboratory Using Computer

The students of the Mechanical Engineering Department with its various Engineering majors (mechatronics, Automotives, Air conditioning and Refrigeration, and Renewable Energy) benefits from this Lab.  The main aim of the Lab. is to qualify the students in the practical part of Control, Microcontroller and Sensor courses approved by the university. In addition, helps the students complete their graduation projects. The Lab.

3D printing Lab

A 3D printing laboratory was established in 2019. It belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The laboratory includes different types of 3d-printers. The Provides the students with practical skills in the field of 3D printing. It serves the students of the College of Engineering in particular and serves the College of Medicine and the local community.

Mechatronics Lab

The Mechatronics Laboratory was established in 2003, it belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The laboratory includes applications of mechatronics systems and computerized manufacturing systems. This laboratory came to meet the needs necessary to develop mechatronics students' knowledge of mechatronics systems and their applications through training in computerized manufacturing machines, robotic arm, and control of carts on a conveyor belt for the purpose of material handling.

Autotronics Lab. (Indian Workshop)

The Autotronics workshop was established in 2014, it belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The workshop serves automotive engineering students, diplomas and professional diplomas in the Department of Continuing Education. The workshop aims to link theoretical courses of Automotive Engineering with the labor market, where the student learns to diagnose faults of electronic systems in vehicles and maintain them using modern testing devices. Recently, the workshop was provided with equipment for diagnosing and maintaining electric and hybrid vehicles.

Applied Mechanics Lab

The Applied Mechanics Laboratory was established in the year 1978, it is one of the laboratories of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. It serves students of mechanical engineering, the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Architectural Engineering in addition to diploma students. The main experiments that can be carried in the Lab. include: Reactions on beams. Centroid and moment of inertia. Estimating Modulus of Elasticity and Modulus of Rigidity for various materials. Stress-Strain diagram. Torsion in bars.

Intelligent Systems Lab

The Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory is one of the newest laboratories in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, it was established in 2021 with funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The laboratory is concerned with applications and research in the field of robotics, as it contains robotic arms and various mobile robots, and is the first of its kind in Palestine in this field.

Thermal Lab

The Thermal Laboratory was established in 1978. It belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering and aims to consolidate the understanding of Engineering faculty students of the basic concepts of forms and methods of heat transfer, thermodynamic principles, heating &cooling and air conditioning basics.  The main experiments that can be carried in the Lab. include:  Determination of saturation pressures and temperatures of fluids. Single-stage reciprocating compressor.

Automotive Mechanical Workshop

The workshop was established in 1996, it belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The workshop serves all students of the automotive specialization at the university, including engineering students, diploma students, and professional diploma students. The workshop aims to link theoretical courses of Automotive Engineering with the labor market. The workshop contains a variety of models that cover the needs and requirements of the Labor market.
