An automotive engineer needs to have a solid and thorough
technical background and be able to jump across disciplines easily, because automotive
engineering covers a wide range of skills (thermal sciences, mechanical design,
sensors, control, electronics, software, aerodynamics, structures...etc). Motivation
and communication skills are also essential. Automotive engineering at PPU is based on a comprehensive
academic program that blends theoretical background and practical skills, and puts
in consideration the technical developments in this branch every year. And it qualifies
the student to deal with the future developments in this field. The student gets
training using the state-of-the-art equipment for diagnosing cars that the local
market lacks. That makes the graduate of this field special in his education and
his practical skills. Furthermore, according to the law, automotive engineering
graduates from PPU have the chance to be certified managers of car mechanic workshops,
which provides job opportunities for them. Also, graduates of automotive engineering
can pursue their higher education in any branch of mechanical engineering.
