(ME483) Microprocessor Interfacing Techniques

Fundamentals of microprocessors and microcomputers: microprocessor and microcomputer operation, microprocessor and microcomputer software architecture, disk storage, representing things with bits, serial and parallel communication, interrupts flags and DMA, DAD, ADC, averaging processing digital signal, digital signal. Digital signal processing. Sensors of physical parameters, lab view tutorial.

 

(ME 326) Refrigeration Workshop

Study and analysis of: single stage refrigeration cycle. Two stage cycle, study the component of refrigeration cycle and analysis of principle of operation. Study of different refrigeration compressors and construction, dismantling and reconstructing a single-stage, refrigeration cycle, study of refrigeration cycle controls. Analysis of air conditioning systems: window split unit dismantling and mantling and training and the required scientific abilities. Analysis of a water chiller, an evaporative cooler and its components. Study of control devices of air conditioners.

 

(ME 424) Air Conditioning

Definition, psychometry, psychometric processes of humidity air and representation and psychometric chart, heating and cooling loads estimation, ventilation, air conditioning systems design, air filters, fans, air-duct design, hot water heating systems, air outlets, air conditioning of operation theaters, and laboratories.

 

(ME 588) Automated Systems (PLC)

Binary number and Boolean, digital circuit element to implement Boolean algebra PLC hardware, logical sensors, logical actuators, Boolean logic design, karnaugh maps, operation, timers, counters and more. Structures logic design, flowchart based design, state base design, numbers and data, PLC memory, ladder logic function. Open controllers, instruction list programming, structured text programming sequential function charts, function block charts, function block programming, analog inputs and outputs, continues sensors, continuous.

 

(ME 522) Refrigeration And Air Conditioning Control Systems

Control basic of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Actuators, serial communication human machine interfacing, selecting PLC, fuzzy logic, internet, electrical design, software design.

 

(ME 525) Air conditioning and Refrigeration Technology

refrigeration applications: food industries, water desalinization, food dehydration, ice-making, gas industries cryogenics and application, transportation refrigeration, special air conditioning applications: medical, industrial, and agricultural.

(ECE 438) Control Systems of Electrical Machines

Introduction to electrical machine: basic laws, principle of operation, construction, types, DC motors, mechanical, electrical and electromechanical characteristics, staring and speed control methods. 3-Phase induction motors: principles of operation, construction, rotor types, slip, control methods, mechanical and electromechanical characteristics, starting, braking and speed control methods. Speed control of 3-Phase induction motors using static converters: AC power controller and frequency converters, electrical drive systems, automatic speed control systems of 3-Phase induction motors and DC motors

(ME 526) Refrigeration and air conditioning equipment maintenance

Troubleshooting, types of maintenance activities, deteriorate factors of refrigeration systems, technical maintenance processes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, using senses in troubleshooting, inspection, inspection and maintenance of: compressors, expansive valve, four –way valve, fans, coils, filters, control devices, leak detection methods safety measures related to refrigeration systems to refrigeration systems and material.

 

(ME 427) Energy converging systems

Basic energy sources, energy demand, basic energy conversion methods , energy sources, energy generation systems, boilers, heat exchangers , nuclear reactors, turbines , condensers, pumps, cooling towers, gas turbines , renewable energy, solar energy utilization and economical consideration in power stations.      

 

(ME 428) Air conditioning and in refrigeration transporting vehicles  

Refrigeration and air conditioning in land transport means passengers , trains, air               transportation and its characteristics, and marine refrigeration and air conditioning. A practical and comprehensive refrigeration project.
